Day 1: Learn Vocabulary in Context
Today you’ll discover a more effective way to learn new words: through meaningful examples instead of isolated vocabulary lists.
Follow these three steps
You do not need to study for hours. One focused session is enough to complete Day 1.
Use the transcript on your second viewing
Listen again with the PDF, underline useful expressions, and notice how they sound inside complete sentences.
Watch for meaning
Focus on the examples. Do not stop every time you hear an unfamiliar word.
Listen with the transcript
Notice the complete sentences and the situations in which each expression appears.
Speak aloud
Choose three useful expressions, repeat the examples, and create one personal sentence with each one.
Turn three expressions into speaking practice
Before continuing, choose three expressions from the lesson. For each one, say the original example, create a sentence about your own life, and repeat both sentences aloud twice.
- I watched the complete lesson.
- I reviewed the transcript.
- I practised three expressions aloud.
Context gives vocabulary meaning
Isolated words are difficult to remember. When you hear an expression inside a clear situation, repeat the complete sentence, and connect it to your own experience, it becomes easier to recall while speaking.
