Today, we’ll focus on military equipment, vehicles, and common expressions used in action movies, news, and everyday language!

Military Equipment and Vehicles
Let’s start with some basic military equipment:
Uniform – Soldiers wear special clothes depending on their branch. The Army wears camouflage, while the Navy wears navy blue uniforms.
Helmet – A protective piece of headgear worn during combat.
Rifle – A long gun used by soldiers.
Grenade – A small explosive device thrown by hand.
Bulletproof vest – A vest that protects soldiers from bullets.
Now, let’s talk about military vehicles:
Tank – A heavy, armored combat vehicle with a big cannon. It can move across rough terrain and fire powerful weapons.
Jet fighter – A fast military aircraft used in air combat.
Aircraft carrier – A massive ship that carries military planes. It acts as a floating airport for fighter jets.
Helicopter – Used to transport soldiers and equipment or for rescue missions.
Submarine – A watercraft that moves underwater for secret missions.
Next time you watch an action movie, try to notice how often they use these words!
Military Actions and Commands
Deploy – To send soldiers or equipment to a mission.
Example: “The Army deployed troops to the area.”
Mission – A special operation or task.
Example: “Their mission was to rescue the hostages.”
Salute – A gesture of respect between soldiers.
Example: “Soldiers always salute their commanders.”
March – To walk in formation as a group.
Example: “The recruits marched across the base.”
Target – The goal or enemy position in an operation.
Example: “The pilot identified the target before firing.”
Stand down – To stop or relax after a mission.
Example: “The soldiers were ordered to stand down after the exercise.”
Even if you’re not in the military, you might hear these words in news reports, video games, or business conversations.
For example, “mission accomplished” is often used in everyday speech when you complete a difficult task!
